Metabolism

Metabolism is the set of chemical process that occur within the body, mainly eating for energy, eating and working out for mass, and excreting waste. In this tab you can monitor the status of your character's skills, injuries, fitness, nutrition, and other stats through the use of your BCU.

Sections

The metabolism screen is divided into several sections based on what they monitor. On the left there is the ICU, skills, body, performance, and on the right is nutrition and digestion. Each of these sections is further subdivided into more specific areas.

ICU

From top to bottom, these bars monitor your heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiration rate, and temperature.

Skills

Minerals are calcium (Ca), iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), and selenium (Se). It is unclear if any of them currently have any effect.

Digestion

Here you can see the fullness of your stomach, bowels, colon, and bladder, as well as the digestion progress of any food you've recently eaten.

Food progresses from stomach through intestines into colon and/or bladder, you do not gain nutrition as food is digested in stomach, only as it is passing through the intestines. This allows you to vomit out an excess of food or anything poisonous in time, like Destroying Angel.

Each digesting items and your body contents are divided into yellow and blue sections. Yellow denotes solid food and blue denotes liquid. Too much liquid relative to solids in intestines will result in uncontrolled diarrhea. This happens when intestines are about 35-50% full of liquid.

General tips

  • Even if you're really thirsty, try to avoid drinking too much at once or you may get diarrhea.
  • Vomit out any poisonous mushrooms if you ate one by mistake and be quick about it.
