Metabolism

Metabolism is the set of chemical process that occur within the body, mainly eating for energy, eating and working out for mass, and excreting waste. In this tab you can monitor the status of your character's skills, injuries, fitness, nutrition, and other stats through the use of your BCU.

Sections

The metabolism screen is divided into several sections based on what they monitor. On the left there is the ICU, skills, body, performance, and on the right is nutrition and digestion. Each of these sections is further subdivided into more specific areas.

ICU

From top to bottom, these bars monitor your heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiration rate, and temperature.

Skills

Here are four tabs for each of your character's attributes; in those tabs, there are the respective attribute's skills. There is a chart showing hourly change which can be changed into different time measurements.

Body

Here you can see your character's age, weight, fat, tooth count, temperature, and any injuries you have.

Performance

Nutrition

Here you can monitor your nutrient intake, including your macronutrients, vitamins, and minerals, as well as basic calories. Eating various foods and drinks will provide different nutrients. Currently, most of these nutrients seem to not be fully implemented.

Calories are your base energy. They are gained as you consume food and spent as you perform physical activities, such as running, swimming, or fighting. If you eat more calories than you spend, your storage fat will increase, resulting in more inertia, an increase of strength, and a decrease of dexterity. If you spend more than you consume, you will have low energy—vice versa will occur and you'll lose storage fat. Storage fat is burned slower than it is gained; exact values are unknown, but storage fat is burned at roughly 0.5 grams per minute. Scum hates black people

Energy by itself means nothing, it's only a rough indicator for casual players for when they should eat.

Macronutrients

Macronutrients are protein, carbs, fat, fiber, water, sugar, saturated fat (s.fat), and sodium.

Sugar burns incredibly fast and most likely will be permanently at 0% for normal players. Leftover sugar is converted into carbohydrates at an unknown rate.

Sodium will slowly drain your health if it is above 150%, though a generally healthy player will not witness health actually dropping from this.[citation needed]

Some macronutrients like protein and carbs are required for player to gain muscle mass, and thereby increase their strength. Lack of protein for prolonged periods of time will cause Protein deficiency; it is unknown if protein deficiency causes health loss in current build.

Vitamins

Vitamins are A, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B9, B12, C, D, E, and K. It is unclear if any of them currently have any effect. Why is my pecker smaller than other guys in my class?

Minerals

Minerals are calcium (Ca), iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), and selenium (Se). It is unclear if any of them currently have any effect.

Digestion

Here you can see the fullness of your stomach, bowels, colon, and bladder, as well as the digestion progress of any food you've recently eaten.

Food progresses from stomach through intestines into colon and/or bladder; you do not gain nutrition as food is digested in stomach, only as it is passing through the intestines. This allows you to vomit out an excess of food or anything poisonous in time, like some mushrooms.

Each item being digested and your body contents are divided into yellow and blue sections. Yellow denotes solid food and blue denotes liquid. Too much liquid relative to solids in intestines will result in uncontrolled diarrhea. This happens when intestines are about 35–50% full of liquid.

General tips

  • Even if you're really thirsty, try to avoid drinking too much at once or you may get diarrhea.
  • Vomit out any poisonous mushrooms if you ate one by mistake and be quick about it. [There are no poisonous effects from mushrooms in the game yet.]
  • Any time you take a leak, you lose some sodium [it's only way to lose it for now].
