Lise Anderson (nee Dickerson)

Originally from Pasadena, Lise lived in Santa Cruz in the early and mid 1980's and performed in the Max Strom band (often a fixture at the Catalyst). She also sang with the girl group "Dial-a-Lash" that included Clara Voyant. She sang back-up for the Batteries and the Holy Sisters of the Gaga Dada.

She later had a side project with Not Michael, before returning to Los Angeles (with Mary Jean Shaffer of the Holy Sisters) to pursue a solo career. She appeared on the "Radio Tokyo Tapes #4: The Women" album. Her song was a big hit in Providence, RI for about a week, reportedly, and she received $7.35 in royalties.

In the 1990s she was picked to be a sea monkey for Mary Jean, with the act "Queen Mary Jean & Her Fabulous Sea Monkeys". They performed in the lobby of the Cirque du Soleil show in nothing but vintage underware and body paint. It was considered to be a high-point in her career.

Lise played keyboards on Cock Robin's final European tour.

She continues to stay connected to the SC expatriats in the city of Angels.
