Leslie Karst was in the Santa Cruz band Enigma.

She grew up in Santa Monica, California and graduated from UCSC in 1978 (English Lit./Spanish minor). It was then that she started Enigma with her brother Dick Karst.

She later went to Stanford Law School (1985-1988) and worked for many years at the Grunsky law firm in Watsonville as their research and appellate attorney. After law school, she started a country-rock band with her sister (Laura Karst) called Electric Range, which released a CD in 1994.

Now, retired from music, she is a photographer. She had a show at Watsonville Airport called "Pilots and Planes of the Pajaro Valley."
