Various animals roam the wilds in SCUM. They can be hunted to provide meat, Animal Skin, and other resources.
Hunting
Animals can be tracked by activating your focus mode with right mouse button. You will see the path of any animals that have walked nearby recently marked with floating blue pawprints.
When you find an animal, most will run as soon as they detect you, except the bear, when it spots you, it will attack. If you can injure an animal before it runs, it will usually bleed out and die, and following it will eventually lead to its corpse.
